As Pastor, Brother Daryl provides leadership for the overall
ministry vision of the church. He is a retired Police Lieutenant
who holds an Associate Degree in Police Science from Hocking
College (1989), a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership
from Wilmington College (2002) and a Master’s of Divinity
degree in Theology and Biblical Counseling from The Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky (2011).
Before coming to New Harmony, Brother Poe pastored the FBC
in Felicity, Ohio (1995-2005) and Belmar Baptist Church in
Louisville, Ky. (2007-2011).


Daryl’s passions are God, his family, teaching God’s Word,
leadership, counseling, and sharing God’s love with others.
Daryl and his wife Jackie have been married since March, 1978 and have two married adult sons, and six grandchildren. Jackie is a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio (1978) with a Bachelor of Music degree. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Biblical
Counseling degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
